Hello, welcome, and thanks for stopping by! This blog is meant to be a simple chronicle of the objects and moments that make up a life.
Unlike many a blog, I don’t do comments. Why? Well… I find discussion overrated. How much of life do we spend explaining ourselves? Consider all the situations over the course of your everyday in which you must articulate what you’re doing and why. I don’t know about you, but it exhausts me.
For me, “solitude is a catalyst to innovation.” Blogging is a kind of explanation, but it’s different—it’s the sort of mental endeavor that should be purely creative, and only inspiring. That’s my purpose here, and this is the quiet corner of the internet I’ve staked out for it.
From time to time, I may post something here to Facebook, mainly to share photos with friends. Obviously comments there are welcome—I wouldn’t drop a post into a social network without the expectation of potential discussion. I manage social media at my job and try to unplug a bit on my own time, so don’t take it personally if I can’t muster the mental bandwidth at that moment respond. Please know I am thrilled if you’ve enjoyed what I’ve written.
If, on the other hand, you hated what I’ve written, or you can’t get over the fact that you can’t comment, I invite you to visit one of the other 156 million blogs on the internet. And again, in all sincerity, thanks for stopping by.
